Join WISTA WA to learn about life as a female marine class surveyor with Joanna Mycroft of Lloyd's Register. 

Joanna is a naval architect who has been working with Lloyd’s Register for 11 years starting off in Structural Rule development then moving to plan approval and now works as an existing ship surveyor. During her time as a surveyor she has working in the Netherlands, Australia and Singapore and has seen a variety of conditions at sites around the world. This can range from state of the art facilities, to squatting behind bushes. This has led to a recent campaign looking at the facilities available to women in shipyards and manufacturing sites and how this can affect careers long term. She will be talking about the campaign and the statistics that have been found from the research done so far.
