Margot will be presenting on one of her favourite, most interesting and challenging parts of her job which is Project Cargo shipments. Since 2008 she has specialised in heavy and abnormal cargoes doing well over 500 shipments overseeing the process of transportation, securing, handling and stowing from the factory to load and discharge ports and deliveries to the sites. In this function she has acted on behalf of various parties in the logistics chain, from the OEM, the Project, the logistics service providers, the shipping lines, the transporters and even the insurers.

No matter for which party she wears her hard hat, each shipment requires significant consultation and planning. She would like take you through the typical process of a shipment of project cargo from factory to the project site and the roles that the surveyor gets involved in and the challenges faced throughout the process.
